What “not advice” means
Advice, in the regulated sense, is a recommendation that considers your facts. A public webpage cannot do that. It does not know your income, visa status, dependents, debts, employer plan rules, or risk capacity.
When this site says “not advice,” it means: do not treat a paragraph, calculator output, or sample question list as permission to buy, sell, hold, roll over, withdraw, or change beneficiaries.
Licensed professionals have duties, exams, and complaints processes. A blog does not. If a sentence here conflicts with your plan document or a regulator’s rule, the official text wins.
